There was a nice steady stream of passengers at the depot most of the day.

Mike and Harry ran their Union Pacific train all day.

The Blakey's handled the Southern Pacific (SP) "black widow" train.

And Karl engineered the SP X-1 for a while.

Museum guides provided tours of the roundhouse area.

Aaron exits the tunnel engineering the Pacific Coast Railway's Electric No. 2 steeplecab.

Jarret at the controls of Pleasant Valley No. 11.

Summer Train Fest is a fundraiser for the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum.

Kevin ran his SMVRR No. 1801 all day.

Two trains pass by each other out on the far turn.

Models of many scales can run on 7.5" gauge track. At right is a larger scale (about 3.5" to the foot) narrow gauge SPRR X-1. At left is a smaller scale (about 1.5" to the foot) standard gauge locomotive and train.

Two trains pass near Donkey Hollow.

Parts of Donkey Hollow are in the foreground.

A brief rundown on the operation of CP No. 229.

And the winner is... The SLORRM raffled off a very nice print of the Southern Pacific Daylight.

The next SLORRM Train Fest at Bitter Creek will be October 28, 2007. For more information and to order tickets, see the SLORRM web site.
