Dale Blakey's Majestic Railway No. 3

July, 2003

Dale Blakey, the "middle man" in three generations of railroaders, built this vertical-boiler locomotive from the Little Engines "Crab" plans. A few castings came with the plans, but Dale machined all the parts. No. 3 is coal-powered.

His father, Ron, got the family started on HO trains. Grandson, Ernie, can be spotted on the BCWRR driving the little battery-powered Majestic Railway switch engine.

The Blakey family lives in the area and can be spotted in the big yellow school bus (that Dale road to school as a child!).
